Our Production Capacity

Today, operating with a team of 40 people, Yenorsan has an annual capacity of 30,000 m³ for log cutting, kiln drying, and storage, across a total area of 46,600 m², including 4,600 m² indoor and 42,000 m² outdoor space. With modern technology production facilities, it has become one of the largest and most advanced factories in the region and the country.

  • Beech
    Yenorsan

These are deciduous forest trees that shed their leaves in winter. They are used in the production of furniture, plywood, parquet flooring, shoe lasts, packaging crates, toys, boats, oven paddles, tool handles, workbenches and carpentry benches, mining poles, and as firewood.

  • Pine
    Yenorsan

These are needle-leaved trees that grow at various heights, typically reaching 10-20 meters tall, and do not shed their leaves in winter. Pines consist of about 90 species, generally widespread across temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere. In our country, five species of pine grow naturally: Turkish red pine, Aleppo pine, black pine, stone pine, and Scots pine. They are mainly used as construction formwork material, furniture manufacturing, and home decoration elements. Additionally, due to the tree’s resin content—rosin, turpentine, and pitch—it is also widely used in various industries.

  • Fir (Abies)
    Yenorsan

A forest tree reaching 20-70 meters in height, bearing only long shoots and no short shoots, and evergreen. Also known as Fir. Its trunks are straight and light gray in color. The wood is soft, white, light, and resin-free. In our country, its wood is used in paper mills to obtain cellulose. It is used as formwork in construction. The young branches, leaves, and fresh cones of fir are used for respiratory system ailments.

  • Oak
    Yenorsan

Found mixed in all forests across Turkey, sometimes forming pure stands. Particularly abundant in Thrace and the Marmara region. In its growing areas, it is sometimes called pelit or acorn tree. Hard oak timber with thick and sparse rings is used in the exterior and interior parts of buildings, doors, windows, stairs, flooring coverings, and parquet production. Hard oak timber is also effective for tool handles, barrels, wagons, carts, ships, boats, bridges, and pier piles. The soft oak species, both solid wood and veneer, is a sought-after material in furniture production, interior building sections, and decoration applications.

  • Linden
    Yenorsan

Grows in the Eastern Black Sea, Western Black Sea, Marmara, Aegean coastal regions, and around Antalya. It is used as veneer in plywood, in match production, for shoe molds, in hardboard (duralite) production, model making, and wood carving arts.

  • Chestnut
    Yenorsan

Naturally found in Southern Europe, Central Europe, the Balkans, Bulgaria, and Greece, as well as in Turkey, the Caucasus, the southern slopes of the Alps in Italy, Spain, and North Africa.

In Turkey, it grows along the Black Sea coast, around Istanbul, in the Aegean region, and east of Antalya.

It is a hard and dense wood, flexible but prone to breakage. Thanks to its long fibers, it bends easily, has minimal movement, and is easy to work with. It is resistant to harsh weather conditions. It can be painted and varnished very well. It shows exceptional durability underwater. It forms strong joints with nails or glue.

Used in the exterior parts of buildings, in joinery, and for bridge and pier supports. In furniture production, it is used both as solid wood and veneer. It is especially preferred for bentwood furniture.

  • Walnut
    Yenorsan

It grows in almost every region of Turkey. It does not form forests but is cultivated in gardens and fields.

Due to the contrast in spring and autumn growth rings, different colored parallel lines appear on cross-sections. Rich grain patterns are visible on tangential cuts. There are types with figured, wavy, and shiny textures.

Root veneers taken from areas close to the root of the tree allow for highly symmetrical patterns, which are especially sought after in classical furniture making. It is a superior-quality and aesthetically valuable wood used in furniture production.

Highly desired in interior architecture as well. Used both as solid wood and veneer. It delivers excellent results in carving and turning work. Also used in making musical instruments and models.

  • Ash
    Yenorsan

Found along the Black Sea, Marmara, and Thrace coasts, as well as in the inner parts of Central Anatolia. It typically grows in mixed forests but forms pure stands around the Adapazarı region. It is a hard, heavy, dense wood. Easy to work with and difficult to split. It is durable in dry conditions but deteriorates quickly when exposed to changing weather. It is not easily damaged by insects or microorganisms. It shrinks significantly. Forms moderately strong joints with glue, nails, and screws. Varnishes well.

Not suitable as structural timber. Its solid wood and veneer are widely used in furniture production. Produces good results in woodturning. Also used in plywood production. Besides furniture and interior design, it is used in tool making and sports equipment.

  • Alder
    Yenorsan

Grows along streams in the Black Sea, Thrace, Marmara, and Mediterranean coastal regions. Alder belongs to the group of mature hardwood trees. It is light, soft, and loosely structured. Easy to split, low in flexibility, and has a high shrinkage rate. However, it has a low tendency to warp after drying. It is durable underwater. Used as solid wood, in plywood, and as veneer. Its most common use is in plywood production.

Also used in model making, clogs, toys, cigarette boxes, packaging, and in carved and turned works. Its veneer is also used in the production of furniture to be painted.

  • Maple
    Yenorsan

Found mixed within beech forests. Also grows around Trabzon, Bolu, Kırklareli, Bursa, Denizli, and Antalya. In some regions, it is known as the butterfly tree. It is a small family with around 150 species. Maple is a hard and dense wood. It has a uniform texture and is easy to work with.

Used both as solid wood and veneer in the production of furniture, musical instruments, kitchen utensils, shoe molds, wood carving, marquetry, fine crafts prepared with fret saws, toys, spools, and tool handles.

  • Poplar
    Yenorsan

Grows in almost every region of Turkey and is also found naturally in the Black Sea forests. Under suitable conditions, it grows rapidly, and poplar cultivation is carried out in groves across many areas.

Its wood is very soft, coarse-textured, and loosely structured. Under proper conditions, it exhibits minimal movement but cracks easily. It is easy to cut but dulls the edges of cutting tools quickly. It bonds well with glue.

It has low resistance to physical impacts. It paints well but is difficult to varnish. Often used as a base or underlayer veneer.

Used in items such as drawing boards and planchettes, in match production, and in the inner sections of furniture. It is also used as structural timber.
